The Yangpu District government  has set up a 1 million yuan (US$120,482) fund to award tipsters who offer information about illegal fireworks sales, underground food manufacturers and illicit Internet cafes. The highest award will be 500 yuan, while people who inform about illegal fireworks can get a bonus of 20 yuan for each box of illicit goods seized.
