More than 20 students from Baile Art School in Zhabei District, together with famous Peking opera performer Shang Changrong, performed at Shanghai Art Theater recently. Set up by the community in 1994, Baile is a public art school for youths to learn Peking opera. During the last ten years, the school invited many well-known Peking opera performers to give professional classes to students. Many of its students have won prizes in various contests held around the country.
