Nepal's Everest Bank Ltd opened an automatic teller machine (ATM) counter

country's airports, stated a press release issued here Thursday. Just after
the inaugural ceremony, foreigners and Nepali customers present at the airport
started withdrawing money from the ATM. "We at the Everest Bank have always
endeavored in exploring new avenues to cater to the needs and requirements of
our customers," said Dhruba Prasad, executive director of the bank. The ATM
at the airport accepts such credit cards as SCT cards, Master cards and Visa
cards, he added. The bank has two ATM at its branch offices in Kathmandu, he
said, adding that the debit cards can also be used at those merchant outlets
like departmental stores, restaurants and hotels with no additional
