The Burger King Corporation, one of the world's top three fast food
restaurant chains, will open an outlet in Shanghai on around June 27, the first
of its kind on the Chinese mainland, today's Oriental Morning Post
reported.
The store, located at the business circle of the Jing'an District,
will compete with the other two fast-food giants KFC and McDonald's.
The
US-based Burger King, established in 1954, boasts more than 10,000 outlets in
more than 60 countries and areas. It has also opened stores in Taiwan and Hong
Kong.
