An Airbus A380 plane yesterday arrived in Guangzhou, capital of south
China's Guangdong Province, second leg of its seven-day trial flight in China
after Hong Kong last Saturday.
The plane with 555 seats, landed at Baiyun Airport of Guangzhou at 1:00 p.m.
on Wednesday and will fly to Beijing and Shanghai in the tour, according to
sources with Airbus China Ltd.
Airbus A380 started trial flight on Nov. 13 and arrived at airports in
Singapore and Seoul on Nov. 14 and 15 respectively. The trial flight is aimed to
test its function and reliability in world major airports.
The final authentification is expected to be finished in the middle December
after its last trial fight over South Africa, Canada, Australia, South Pole and
North Pole.
Up to date, five Airbus A380 planes have successfully completed their trial
flights and Airbus has received orders for 166 jets from 15 customers, including
China Southern Airlines, which ordered five.
