A stretch of damaged railway connecting Ningbo to Hangzhou was repaired yesterday, meaning trains can again run between Shanghai and Ningbo after service was suspended for five days.
However, the railway line in the reverse direction from Hangzhou to Ningbo is still under repair, and the Shanghai Railway Administration, which operates the line, didn't say when it will go back into normal service. On Monday morning, a stretch of more than 100 meters of railway in Zhejiang Province subsided after the roadbed collapsed, which cut off the rail link.
