The China Association for NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) Cooperation, together with local NGOs and US-based Environmental Defense, launched an energy conservation campaign covering the Yangtze Delta area in Shanghai over the weekend, calling for public buildings to set their air conditioning at 26 degrees Celsius or above to save electricity. The association said it will talk to the managers of local office buildings and hotels to win their support.
