The 2005 China Jiangyin Foreign Economic Cooperation Symposium is to be held on October 18 as a way of enticing overseas businessmen to seek investment and trade opportunities in Jiangyin City.
More than 800 business people from more than 40 countries and regions will flock to the symposium.
The event, sponsored by the Jiangyin City government, will be dominated by the project discussions and contract signing activities. It will highlight the major foreign direct investment utilization areas and focus on demonstrating Jiangyin's service and port logistic sectors to attract foreign investment.
A series of industry specific introductions and seminars on hot investment issues will be held and provide unparalleled insights into the city's investment environment.
One highlight will be the session on the investment in port logistics which will look at the current situation and the strengths of the Jiangyin port, covering the cooperation between port related processing industries and warehouse logistics.
Other sessions on Jiangyin manufacturing and real estate as well as an international packaging seminar will also be held.
The city signed contracts for 31 projects with foreign companies valued at US$1.7 billion during the last year's symposium.
