The first Web-based job fair for Yangtze River Delta professionals went
online yesterday, offering thousands of positions to area residents.
Co-sponsored by government personnel departments, the cyber sites list more
than 46,000 jobs from 1,500 companies in Shanghai and neighboring Jiangsu and
Zhejiang provinces.
More than 85 percent of the employment demand comes from privately owned
firms, foreign-invested companies and joint ventures.
Half of the offerings are mid-to-senior-level positions, such as sales people
and technicians.
Job seekers can apply by logging onto any of the three government human
resources Websites: www.shrc.com.cn, www.jsrc.com and www.zjrc.com.
They'll receive full recruitment information and can even submit their
resumes online, officials said.
Job offers will be updated until the fair ends on November 30.
"The successful launch of the online job fair shows that human resource
cooperation within the Yangtze River Delta region has stepped up to an
operational stage," said Cai Zhiqiang, vice director of the Shanghai Personnel
Bureau.
In April, authorities in Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces signed a
series of cooperation pacts to ensure the free flow of professionals within the
region.
Personnel directors in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces announced they will
recognize academic titles granted in cooperating areas. And professionals are
now allowed to work anywhere within the region without changing their permanent
residence.
