The world's richest man, Warren Buffett, worth an estimated 62 billion U.S. dollars, will play himself in American soap opera "All My Children," show publicity director Michael Cohen said on Wednesday.

Buffett will make a cameo appearance on the ABC day-time soap in May, in which he visits Erica, a character convicted of insider trading. The 77-year-old tries to strike a deal to secure her release.

Buffett will appear with actress Susan Lucci, who plays Erica, and Jill Larson, who stars as Erica's friend Opal Cortlandt.

It will mark his second appearance on the daytime drama, his first coming in 1992.

Buffett was lured toˇ°All My Childrenˇ±partly because he and the show's creator, Agnes Nixon, are friends and Buffett is a fan of the show, according to spokesman Cohen.
