Actress Liv Tyler has longed for years to show off her singing abilities -
and even auditioned for the musical movie "Moulin Rouge."
The Armageddon star, daughter of Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler, was brought
up in a musical household - but admits she has always been shy about showcasing
her own vocal talent.
And the 30-year-old hoped the 2001 movie would be the perfect opportunity to
debut her voice - but lost out on the lead role to Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman.
She says, "I sat on a piano and sang Big Spender, but I didn't get the role.
When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a singer, but never pursued it.
My mom was a singer in a band, as was my dad and my stepdad Todd - I loved
watching them perform.
"I can sing, but I don't know how good I am."
