Apparently not one to quibble over an item she wants, Lindsay Lohan
recently heisted an US$11,000 pale mink coat at a party and left the premises,
according to the New York Post.
The coat's rightful owner, Masha Markova, told the paper she attended a
private birthday celebration in January. Lindsay also showed up to the
celebration, but left before Masha and helped herself to the 22-year-old
student's mink, which was placed in a communal coat bin.
At the time of the incident, Markova had no idea what became of the pricey
gift from her grandmother, but a month later, while browsing through a copy of
OK! magazine, she spotted her wayward shag.
"I was actually talking on the phone to my grandmother about something else,
and then I flipped through the magazine, saw the picture and said, I need to
call you back,'" she said. "It was my coat. It was no doubt!"
After spying more shots of Lindsay sporting her fancy fur, Markova had her
lawyer contact LiLo's lawyer. While Lindsay's people wouldn't play the blame
game, they did deliver the coat, albeit slightly torn and smelling of
cigarettes.
The fur¡¯s back in fine form now, thanks to a thorough clean up and mending.
All that's left is the little matter of the rental fee. Masha wants some
compensation for her troubles and told the Post about 10,000 dollars should do
it.
