Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil has been pictured smoking
heroin in his prison cell. The 25-year-old has been photographed inhaling the
illegal substance in London's Pentonville prison, despite claiming he is clean
of narcotics. Just hours after the photos were taken, Amy pleaded for her
spouse's release as she performed at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday party.
A source at the prison told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Blake takes heroin
whenever he can get hold of it. His claims to be clean are a fallacy and it is
obvious he remains dependent.
There is nothing to suggest he won't carry on when he's outside and back with
Amy. If she takes him back into her life when she is trying to get clean it will
be a recipe for disaster." Blake is currently waiting to be sentenced after
pleading guilty to grievous bodily harm (GBH) and perverting the course of
justice following an attack on pub landlord James King in June 2006.
James - who was last week cleared of any involvement in attempting to pervert
the course of justice - has spoken out about his ordeal following the attack by
Blake and his friend Michael Brown, 40. James - who needed twelve hours of
surgery and required metal plates and bolts to reconstruct his battered face
following the beating outside the Macbeth pub in East London - insists Blake and
Amy have ruined his life.
James said: "I hope both Blake and Amy rot. The first time I met him was when
his boot was smashing into my face. Since then I've been to hell and back
because he's stupid enough to think he could buy his freedom through his
marriage to her and her millions." James claims Blake started an intimidation
campaign against him to force him to withdraw his statement against his
attackers.
This included having James stabbed in the neck and hiring Anthony Kelly to
find him when he moved to East Sussex and threaten him at gunpoint. James says
he was ordered to take a 200,000 bribe and move to Spain, and told if he didn't
he could be knocked out, blindfolded and driven to Europe in the boot of a car.
Kelly spent eight months in prison before being cleared. Amy has also been
cleared of any involvement in the case. Blake is due to be sentenced on
Thursday.
