Warner, EMI sign Asia music deal

Warner Music Group said yesterday it has signed a license deal to market
and distribute EMI Music's products in South East Asia, including Hong Kong,
Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea and Thailand.
Warner Music, which is based in New York but has most of its operations in
Los Angeles, said that under the deal, the company will be the exclusive
physical and digital distributor of EMI products in the region.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the multi-year agreement
expands an existing relationship between the two music companies covering India,
the Middle East and North Africa.
EMI Music's recording artists include British rock bands Coldplay and Pink
Floyd, while Warner artists range from pop diva Madonna to local band Linkin
Park.
