The "Moulin Rouge!" actress Nicole Kidman was nervous about giving birth,
but found the experience much easier than she had expected.
Her daughter Sunday Rose, her first child with husband Keith Urban, was born
in July.
"Keith was my rock during childbirth. I'd heard horror stories of 40 hours of
labor, and I was sure that would be me, but I had a very easy labor. And through
it all, Keith's eyes gave me such strength," said Kidman.
"There's something very primal about giving birth. It puts you in a state of
being very raw."
The actress - who also has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise,
Isabella and Connor - added Sunday looks much more like Keith than her, but she
doesn't mind.
Nicole said: "It's fine by me, having a little Keith-ette. When he goes away,
I can look at her and see him."
The star also revealed she finally feels as if her life is complete, and
believes her decision to spend some time on her own following her 2001 divorce
from Tom helped her finally find happiness.
She added to America's Glamour magazine: "'Happy' isn't an
all-encompassing-enough word. I'm in a place of gratitude and humility. I don't
take any of it for granted. I touch wood every day. The journey of life - we all
go through it. You have love, you lose love, you find new love. To have love
again is a beautiful thing."
