Chinese pop singer Zang Tianshuo has been detained by the Beijing police
on suspicion of helming a criminal gang that involved in a series of malicious
gang fights which led to a person's death five years ago in Langfang, a
satellite city near Beijing.
The Beijing Times reported today that Zang was already taken away from his
home around the end of this August by plainclothes cops.
The report says Zang was the very boss of the gang who was once recruited in
his bar in Beijing. However, one of his gang members blew the whistle on Zang's
crimes after the guy was arrested earlier this year.
Zang, a rock singer for his hit song "Friend", is currently being
questioned.
