Paris Hilton has been desperately trying to win ex-lover Benji Madden
back.
The heiress chased her former boyfriend across Los Angeles on Saturday night
in an attempt to reconcile with him following their split last week.
Paris had reportedly been bombarding the Good Charlotte rocker with text
messages, but he refused to reply.
When Paris heard Benji was at the Villa nightclub on Saturday she decided to
confront him and took pop star Avril Lavigne along for support.
A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "All her friends reckoned it
was a bad idea. And when Paris and Avril set off, one pal thought Benji should
be warned and he went mad.
"The minute he put the phone down he ran out of the club. They missed each
other by a few seconds and Paris was absolutely devastated."
After Benji,
29, had stormed out of the club he reportedly ranted: "Can't I have a night out
in peace?"
Paris admitted she was still in love with Benji during a radio interview on
Friday She told KIIS FM's Ryan Seacrest: "He's my best friend. He's been so
great to me, so loyal. He is an incredible person, and we will always be really
close."
When asked if they will ever get back together, Paris added: "We'll see what
happens in the future; I'm still in love with him. He's a very special person -
there's no one like him. I still have feelings for Benji."
