Britney Spears will play two London shows next year - the only European
dates on her world tour.
The 'Womanizer' singer is to go on the road in support of forthcoming album
'Circus' and, despite rumours of a two-week residency, is set to play just two
concerts in the UK capital.
The shows will take place at the O2 arena on 3 and 4 June and tickets go on
sale at 9am on 5 December - though fans registering on her official website can
obtain theirs a day earlier.
AEG promoter Rob Hallett said: "It's going
to be very special. We're creating a musical circus. Expect to see jugglers,
dancers, tattooed ladies and acrobats."
The 26-year-old star will be in the
UK this weekend as she makes a promotional appearance on TV talent show 'The X
Factor' performing 'Womanizer'. Britney is also rumoured to be making an
appearance at the G-A-Y nightclub in the capital, her smallest-ever British
show.
A source said: "It's an extraordinary coup that Britney has agreed to perform
at the nightclub.
"It has taken months of very patient planning but the hard work has been more
than worth it."
