British actor Clive Owen is taking a break before deciding his next
project as two films he is starring in are due out this year, he told the media.
"I don't actually know, I'm taking a bit of time off and I haven't decided
what I'm doing next," the 42-year-old actor said after watching Giorgio Armani's
menswear collection Wednesday.
"I've got a couple in the can that are still to come out this year," he
added.
"There's a very wild action movie called 'Shoot Em Up' and then a film called
'Golden Age,' a sort of sequel to (director) Shekhar Kapur's 'Elizabeth,'" said
the dark-haired star, who was once rumored to be in the running to play James
Bond.
In Kapur's "The Golden Age," Owen plays 16th century adventurer Sir Walter
Raleigh opposite Australian actress Cate Blanchett. She again plays Queen
Elizabeth I as she balances the demands of power and the threat of Spain's
Armada against her feelings for Raleigh.
"Shoot 'Em Up" stars Monica Bellucci with Owen and is billed as a violent
thriller. Michael Davis is the director.
