Oscar-winning actor Forest Whitaker visits S. Africa

Oscar-winning US actor Forest Whitaker arrived in Johannesburg on
yesterday evening for a two-week "good will tour" in South Africa, the SAPA news
agency reported. Whitaker, who won this year's Best Actor Oscar for his
portrayal for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in the acclaimed film
The Last King of Scotland, was flanked by his wife Keisha and daughters Autumn,
Sonnet and True, the news agency said. "South Africa as a country is a place
that we as a family have been looking forward to visiting for quite some time,"
Whitaker was quoted as saying on his arrival at the OR Tambo International
Airport in Johannesburg. Whitaker's itinerary includes stays in Johannesburg,
Cape Town and Durban, a visit to the campus of the University of Johannesburg,
some of the country's famed wine estates in the Cape and a luxury safari.
