20/4/2007 15:50

Oscar-winning US actor Forest Whitaker arrived in Johannesburg on yesterday evening for a two-week "good will tour" in South Africa, the SAPA news agency reported.
Whitaker, who won this year's Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin in the acclaimed film The Last King of Scotland, was flanked by his wife Keisha and daughters Autumn, Sonnet and True, the news agency said.
"South Africa as a country is a place that we as a family have been looking forward to visiting for quite some time," Whitaker was quoted as saying on his arrival at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
Whitaker's itinerary includes stays in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban, a visit to the campus of the University of Johannesburg, some of the country's famed wine estates in the Cape and a luxury safari.
