Casablanca, Moroccan western port city will host the Moroccan international
animation film festival ( FICAM-2007) from May 24 to May 26.
The festival, which is organized by the French Institute of Casablanca (IFC),
will be an ideal opportunity for Moroccan and foreign youngsters aged from three
to 13 to discover short animation films and features made by
internationally-acclaimed film makers.
Three short animation films by Bretislav Pojar and Miroslav Stepanek, both
from Czech Republic, will be screened on May 24 at IFC for children from three
to four years.
"Asterix and the Vikings" by Stefan Fjeldmark and Jesper Meller from France
will be screened twice on May 24, for children aged from six to seven, while
children aged from eight to nine will have a chance of watching three animated
films on May 25, namely "Le petit monde de Bahador," "Azur et Asmar" and "Souris
city."
An animation film called "U" by the French directors Serge Elissade and
Gregoire Solotareff will be screened on Saturday for youngsters aged from 12
years old.
