Nicole Kidman said her marriage to country music star Keith Urban is her
life's No. 1 priority for the moment, media reports said yesterday.
"Married life comes first and everything else comes second," said the Oscar
winner actress at the premiere of her latest movie, "Margot at the Wedding."
"I just recently married so that's my priority. I love my work but at the
same time I don't want to do it without having somebody else in my life to share
that with," she added.
A recent Forbes.com study of actors box office return on their salary ranked
Kidman, who had some recent high-profile flops, at No. 18 out of 22 actors with
a return of US$8 for each 1 dollar she was paid.
Kidman, however, said she is just interested in doing good work.
"I'm interested in working with complex, really, really good directors and
sometimes that results in great films and sometimes that results in some films
that were reaching high and didn't get there," she said.
Kidman split from actor Tom Cruise in 2001 after nearly 10 years of marriage.
Last week, the actress said she lost her self-identity during her marriage to
Tom Cruise, because the superstar couple did so much traveling around.
"Tom and I, we moved and moved and moved. Your sense of where do I come from
becomes less and less relevant."
But the 40-year-old actress also said she is "not willing to give up my life
with my man anymore."
