'Blueberry Nights' expects strong Chinese dubbing cast
30/11/2007 10:30

Hong Kong director Wong Kar-Wai's first English-language film will feature another selling point for its Chinese premiere on Dec. 21 -- an all-star dubbing cast including Gong Li, Jiang Wen, Dong Jie and Chang Chen.

A source revealed the lineup to the Information Times on Wednesday, and said that Wong Kar-Wai is now in Beijing producing Chinese dubbing of the romantic road film.

The director had earlier said that he hoped to invite Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi to contribute their voices, "depending on their work schedules."

Now it is confirmed that Chinese superstar Gong Li and actor-director Jiang Wen will collaborate for the second time - the first was in director Zhang Yimou's directorial debut "Red Sorghum", for which they rose to fame in 1988.

Actor Chang Chen, who is best known for his role in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," and actress Dong Jie both starred Wong Kar-Wai's thriller "2046."
