Singer Lily Allen has managed to smile again just a few days after it was
revealed she had suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.
The 22-year-old singer was seen shopping in west London with her Chemical
Brothers DJ boyfriend, Ed Simons, 37, for the first time since it was reported
she had lost her unborn child.
Lily suffered a miscarriage after returning home from a romantic break in the
Maldives with boyfriend Ed. She is thought to have been three months' pregnant.
And despite the tragedy, brave Lily and Ed attempted to distract themselves
with a spot of retail therapy in Notting Hill.
The couple spent several hundred pounds at upmarket French store Aim, which
sells a range of Parisien fashion and homewares.
The pop star plans to press on plans to start filming the pilot for her new
TV show.
The singer will record BBC3's "Lily Allen And Friends" tomorrow, and the show
will be screened next month.
The audience will be composed of "friends," and also celebrity friends and
new bands from her page on social networking website MySpace.
A TV insider said: "She's incredibly low at the moment, but doesn't want to
let her fans down.
"It will be a very upbeat night so in a way it's the tonic she needs."
A source close to the couple said at the time: "Lily and Ed are in a state of
shock. The bad news has been really difficult for them to take and they are
really heartbroken."
Allen and Simons met in September after a Chemical Brothers gig in Trafalgar
Square and announced they were expecting a baby in December.
Allen's second album is due out later this year.
