Fund-raising show to be broadcast on CCTV

A large fund-raising live show for the earthquake victims in China will be
broadcast on China Central Television at 8 pm today.
The show will be
broadcast on CCTV-1, CCTV-3 and CCTV-4.
Eight well-known CCTV hosts, Luo
Jing, Li Ruiying, Dong Qing, Zhu Jun, Bai Yansong, Zhou Tao, Zhang Zequn, Zhu
Xun, will host the show together.
In addition, more than 200 entertainers
have already applied to attend the show, including renowned artists Guo Lanying,
Li Guyi, Li Shuangjiang, Yang Hongji, Wu Yanze, Peng Liyuan, veteran composers
Xu Peidong, Zhao Jiping, and other famous Chinese mainland singers and
performers.
Many entertainers from Hong Kong and Taiwan are also eager to
take part in the charity performance.
Celebrities from the literature,
press publication, sports and business fields will also be present at the gala,
to raise more donations for the victims.
Viewers can donate money and
send their blessings through hotlines and short messages during the live
show.
The show is being organized by the Propaganda Department of the CPC
Central Committee, the Ministry of Culture, the State Administration of Radio,
Film and Television, China's General Administration of Press and Publication,
Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, China Federation
of Literary and Art Circles and China Writer's Association.
