Miyavi ready to rock Shanghai in solo show

Japanese rock guitarist Miyavi will be in Shanghai for a solo concert next Friday.

Miyavi plays guitar in supergroup Skin. Before that he was guitarist for Due le Quartz, which disbanded in 2002.

He launched his solo career with the album "Gagaku," and signed with PS Company until he joined Universal Japan, becoming a major label artist. His album "Miyavi" was released in 2005.

Dazzling costume changes, direct lines, and simple melodies distinguish Miyavi's style, winning him fans across Asia.

Known for his elaborate guitar skills, great voice and charisma, Miyavi crosses genres and has experimented with pop, rock, acoustic, blues and hip-hop, to just to name a few.

He has toured the United States, Germany and Europe.
