Hollywood star Wentworth Miller was surprised by the passion of Shanghai fans
when he arrived in town to endorse the Chinese domestic clothing brand Me &
City.
He was welcomed by fans at Pudong International Airport on Thursday night.
Miller was very patient in satisfying requests for autographs and photos.
Last night, Miller attended a Me & City fashion show and celebration
party held at Central Park in Pudong.
Miller is scheduled to attend a press conference today at the Me & City
flagship store on Nanjing Road E. and then continue his China tour in Beijing.
Appearing in the Fox TV series "Prison Break," the 36-year-old Miller was
born in England and raised in Brooklyn, New York. The "Michael Schofield"
character played by Miller has apparently made a deep impression on Chinese
audiences, as Miller drew screams from many of the young women who turned out to
see him.
In Chinese, Wentworth is commonly known as wenshuai or mishuai, a combination
of his name and the Chinese word for "handsome."
