Students at senior high schools should not be divided into arts and science but should be prepared for a "general education" at university, Peking University President Xu Zhihong said at the Forum of General Education in town yesterday, Shanghai Daily reported.

Xu said he found the current education system in senior high schools affected the practice of "general education" in universities.
