Shanghai has transported more than 110,000 tons of materials to the earthquake-hit areas, the biggest-ever shipment the city has made, Shanghai Daily reported.

The city has also donated about 1.7 billion yuan (US$245 million) to areas suffering from the 8.0-magnitude earthquake, which happened in Sichuan Province on May 12.
