Love proved the undoing for a bachelor surnamed Guo, according to Baoshan District Prosecutors?Office. He has been charged with forging financial papers after allegedly asking others to make a fake bank receipt to please his girlfriend.

Odd-job man Guo met his girlfriend, surnamed Liu, last year, prosecutors said. But he felt he wasn't rich, so decided to prove his love by buying a fake bank deposit receipt in her name, with a face value of 1.3 million yuan (US$189,500), they alleged.
