The 100-ton oil tanker "Bo Feng," anchored at Xiepu Road pier on the eastern side of Huangpu River, caught fire around 2am yesterday. The tanker crew used extinguishers to put out the blaze which was later controlled by local police and fire fighters who arrived on the scene to help. No one was injured. Crew members said the sparks generated by a short-circuit probably ignited the oil spilled on to the deck.
