A city court yesterday rejected an appeal by a woman seeking compensation from an insurance company after her husband's death from autoerotic strangulation, Shanghai Daily reported.

The Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court ruled that the policy holder had not died as a result of an "accidental death" as stipulated in the insurance contract.
