Nine executives of the Pudong pesticide factory blamed for sending noxious fumes across Shanghai have been fired and at least another three have been given reprimands, the city information office said yesterday, Shanghai Daily reported.

Fines are also being considered as a result of a herbicide leak earlier this month that sent two women to hospitals and scared hundreds of people across Shanghai.
