Almost 5 million tourists from China and abroad visited Shanghai during the National Day "Golden Week," up about 7 percent from the same period last year, tourism authorities said yesterday, Shanghai Daily reported.

And the tourists brought about 3.8 billion yuan (US$555 million) in revenue to the city, up about 15 percent from last year, the authorities said.
