China's young people should take advantage of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo to learn about the world's most innovative ideas and catch up with the latest international trends, a senior official of the Bureau of International Expositions told a forum in Shanghai yesterday.

Young people should pay attention especially to the new thinking and ideas emerging from the Expo in order to develop their careers, said Wu Jianmin, the president of the agency that sanctions the World Expo program.
