A city hospital has been ordered to compensate the family of a suicide victim who killed himself during treatment, in the first local case of its kind.

Shuguang Hospital must pay 30,000 yuan (US$4,401) to a family from Hubei Province after the head of the family, Diao Baoxin, jumped from the second floor of the medical center last year.
