Patients urged to check on 'silent killer'

Local doctors are concerned about a new finding that only 6.8 percent of hypertension patients in Shanghai and Beijing check their blood pressure every day.

And about 41 percent of those with high blood pressure never perform self-checks unless they suffer symptoms such as nausea.
