A worker conducts out a test yesterday at the new Bailonggang Sewage Treatment Plant, which went into operation in Pudong New Area on Wednesday. The plant, Asia’s biggest, was completed by Shanghai Chengtou Corp and has the capacity to treat 2 million cubic meters of sewage a day. It will benefit about 8 million residents by processing wastes from the Huangpu, Luwan, Xuhui, Changning and Minhang districts and Pudong.- Shanghai Daily
