Yangpu District People's Court yesterday sentenced a man who swindled suppliers out of 261,500 yuan (US$38,335) worth of goods to 14 years in prison.

The defendant, surnamed Jin, was also ordered to pay 10,000 yuan, according to Hu Hairong, the court's media coordinator.
