Another cold front is expected to hit the city today and usher in a rainy weekend, forecasters said yesterday.

Showers should begin to soak the city this afternoon and continue into tomorrow morning, and the maximum temperature should drop below 25 degrees Celsius, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Bureau.
