A man suffered a foot wound that required several stitches after he was trapped in a Yangpu District traffic mishap yesterday.

The accident occurred when a transit bus crashed into a truck carrying glass at the intersection of Jungong and Minxing roads. The 36-year-old man, surnamed Cai, was trapped in the truck, which had rolled onto its side, with all the glass smashed. Police cut open the truck's door to rescue Cui.
