Nanhui District People's Court sentenced a 48-year-old unemployed man to 13 years in jail and fined him 370,000 yuan (US$54,160) for swindling money from migrant workers. Ding Xiuqing persuaded his victims to pay him from 10,000 yuan to 50,000 yuan to get them factory jobs in South Africa, Japan and the Philippines. Ding swindled more than 726,000 yuan from 19 people.
