A moped rider was saved from inside a deep roadside pit yesterday after three hours in the hole. The man had driven into the pit while trying to avoid a stray dog that ran into the road.

The accident happened around midnight near Wusong Port. A patrol officer with the port immigration police heard the man's moans around 3am and sent for help.
