The father of Yang Jia, who stabbed six Shanghai police officers to death in
July, made a public apology on Wednesday and pleaded for his son to be judged
fairly, according to a Hubei-based newspaper.
"I am sorry for the dead
officers and apologize to the four injured officers who were stabbed by my son,"
Yang Fusheng, Yang Jia's father, told the Changjiang Times on Wednesday. "All of
them are innocent."
