Attacks and a strike by tour bus drivers in southwestern China's Yunnan Province have prompted some Shanghai travel agencies to suspend tours to the popular sightseeing area.

Bus drivers in the forested scenic area of Xishuangbanna are protesting the local government's policy of opening up the trade to outside motor coach firms. There were even attacks a week ago on buses from the outside, Xinhua news agency reported.
