An American man who was rescued at sea earlier this month and brought to Shanghai began his trip back home yesterday.

The 23-year-old freelance photographer, Ronald Adam Simpson, was sailing single-handedly on the Pacific Ocean on October 9 when his US$60,000 boat broke down in heavy swells.
