A drug addict went on trial yesterday after allegedly threatening a driver with a knife and forcing him to break numerous traffic laws on Huaihai Road. One person was injured in the incident.

Wang Weichen, 22, from Anhui Province, was charged with threatening public security. Prosecutors alleged that on April 19 Wang, after taking the drug ice, broke into his neighbor's apartment, took a kitchen knife and ran out on to Huaihai Road.
