The city government has raised the threshold of a housing subsidy for local
families earning less than 800 yuan (US$117) each a month. Previously, the
threshold was 600 yuan each a month, Shanghai Daily reported.
In
addition, a three-member family with total household financial assets of less
than 90,000 yuan now can apply for budget houses, 60,000 yuan more than previous
standards, the city government announced yesterday.
