The city will establish nine emergency treatment centers for burn and trauma victims at major hospitals and expand its first-aid network with 29 new sub-centers and 120 new ambulances by the end of next year, officials of the Shanghai Health Bureau said yesterday.

All the new public health projects will be finished next year, said the bureau. The total investment is more than 1 billion yuan (US$146 million).
