Metro operators said they are installing safety doors to separate passengers from the track on Line 2's People's Square Station, to step up safety measures at the crowded station, Shanghai Daily reported.

Officials of the Shanghai Metro Operation Co, the line's operator, yesterday said the revamp will be completed before the end of this year.
